Gather all of your ingredients and heat your grill to medium low heat.
Melt the butter into your kettle insert.
Spread flour into the butter and stir until smooth.
Stir until the flour is cooked and brown, be very careful not to burn the flour and butter.
Add your green bell pepper and the onions, cook until onions are soft.
Add the shrimp juice to the mixture and stir.
Add in your okra.
Add in your bay leaves.
Stir everything together being sure not to burn!
If the mixture begins to look too thick add a little bit of water.
If you added water stir everything together.
Add in your canned tomatoes with the tomato juice.
Add in your cajun seasoning.
Add in your pepper, thyme and basil.
Stir and add your sausage.
Close the lid and let cook for 45 minutes.
Check after the 45 minutes and stir.
Add in your shrimp and close the lid. Allow to cook for another 30 minutes.
Dish straight out of the kettle and serve over rice if desired. Enjoy!
