Preparation

Step 1

Insert STOK WOK, and set grill to low (about 200 degrees)

Step 2

Combine Cake Mix, 1/2 Cup Butter and Eggs in a bowl. Stir together until the batter reaches a doughy consistency, It will look a little like sugar cookie dough.

Step 3

Spread out the pizza dough and cut into 6 rectangles of about 4x6" each. (You don't have to be totally exact on size or shape.)

Step 4

Using a basting brush or spoon, spread about 1/2 of the remaining butter over the dough rectangles.

Step 5

Using a rubber spatula, spread cake batter evenly onto the dough rectangles. You will use pretty much all of the batter, but try to leave a little bare dough around the edges- about 1/2 an inch or or so.

Step 6

Next, place about 10 peaces on each piece of dough. Piling them in the center works well.

Step 7

Roll each rectangle kind of like a burrito. I pulled the sides in and rolled upward from the bottom. The goal is to completely enclose the filling. Pinch seams together.

Step 8

Place in the WOK filled with vegetable oil and fry for about 3-5 minutes.

Step 9

Serve hot with ice cream.

Step 10

Place on the stone and cook for about 24 minutes. If you have a Mega Stone, you can do all 6 at once, but on a normal stone, stick to no more than 3 at a time.

Step 11

Remove from stone, and brush with remaining butter. Serve hot with ice cream. *note- the tops of the calzones will be lighter in color- they may not brown much. The texture is still great though.
