Gather all of your ingredients.
Cut your oranges in half.
With a spoon gently scoop out the insides of the oranges without ripping the peel.
Pour your cupcake mix into a large bowl.
Add in your vegetable oil.
Pour in your water.
Add in your eggs.
Whisk everything together until smooth.
Start pouring your batter into the orange shells.
Only fill the cupcakes about 3/4 of the way full or a little less.
Heat your grill to medium heat, and place the orange shells directly onto the grill.
Grill until finished, check with a toothpick just like you would in an oven.
Top with whipped cream and sprinkle some orange zest on top.
