In a bowl mix the following: 1) Squeeze the lemons & limes 2) Add liquid smoke to taste 3) Add cracked black pepper (tablespoon at most) 4) Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil
Prepping the chicken: 1) Trim off fatty pieces of the breasts 2) Cut the breasts into strips 3) Take a fork and "stab" all over the chicken strip (this allows marinade to seep deeper into the meat)
Combining the marinade and chicken: 1) Pour marinade into a gallon size freezer bag 2) place chicken inside the freezer bag 3) Let the chicken marinade at least 8 hrs (best results is to leave marinating for 12-24 hours
Adding the bacon 1) On wax paper or cutting board, lay out your strips of bacon 2) Pepper your bacon using the cracked pepper and flip the bacon over and pepper the other side 3) Pull out a strip of chicken from your marinade bag and wrap the bacon around the chicken (use a wet toothpick to keep the bacon wrapped around the chicken). Continue this step until you've wrapped all of your chicken
Grilling: 1) Preheat grill to 425 degrees 2) Once grill is heated, place chicken on the grill 3) Lower grill temp to 395 4) After 7 minutes, flip chicken over 5) After 7 minutes flip chicken over again & turn down the heat on the grill to 325 degrees 6) Let chicken on the grill for roughly 10 more minutes 7) Remove chicken from grill 8) Remove toothpicksome from the chicken Enjoy!
