Generously rub the butt with your favorite seasoning blend. If you want BBQ, use BBQ, if you want Italian use Italian. The finished result will be in the crock pot bathes in your favorite sauce. So choose wisely.
Step 2
Heat up the grill to Hot and sear each side of the butt. Once all sides have been seared, lower the heat to low, and cook it for 2 hours. I like to baste mine with a Lea and Perrins and butter mixture.
Step 3
Remove and place it in your slow cooker for 4 to 6 additional hours based on the size of your meat. This would be the time to add any sauce you would like for it to simmer in.
Step 4
Shred your meat and place over rice, bun, or tortilla. Its delicious.
